 Melbourne trio Something For Kate have been awarded the ‘Best Live Act’ award at the ALMAs (Australian Live Music Awards) – a part of the Australian Music Week festivities.
Molly Meldrum presented the award to SFK’s Stephanie Ashworth and Clint Hyndman at a ceremony held at The Forum Theatre in Melbourne. Other nominees in this major category included Powderfinger, silverchair, Killing Heidi, Testeagles, The Living End, Spiderbait, Grinspoon, Shihad, and the Screaming Jets. This was a public voted award. Something For Kate were recognised for their captivating live shows in support of their 2nd album Beautiful Sharks which recently achieved Gold sales. The band will perform at the upcoming Homebake Festival in Sydney December 9th before heading into the studio to record their new album early 2001. |
