Paul Dempsey solo show L.A.

Something for Kate frontman, Paul Dempsey will take a night off from recording the new album to play a one off solo showcase at L.A.’s Hotel Cafe on Wednesday January 11th. ( 1623 1/2 N Cahuenga Blvd Los Angeles, ph (323) 461-2040. He will be onstage at 9pm.

SFK Return to the U.S

Something For Kate have returned to Los Angeles after a brief trip home to Australia where they played Sydney’s Homebake Festival and The Corner Hotel’s 10th Anniversary celebration. The band will now resume recording their forthcoming album. To view the setlists played for both these shows,click on ‘MORE’.

Something for Kate will return from the U.S to celebrate the Corner Hotel’s 10 Year Anniversary. SFK have always counted Melbourne’s Corner Hotel as one of their favorite places to play and are excited to announce that they will headline the third night of the Anniversary shows on Friday December 2nd. Tickets for this show are now SOLD OUT The support for this show is Melbourne’s Ground Components. Doors 8pm

Paul Dempsey has recently contributed a remix to The Devoted Few’s new E.P. “Schematic Tracks”. Dempsey has remodelled TDF track “Misery Loves Company” joining an eclectic collection of tracks remixed by artists such as Black Cab,Sarah Blasko,GB3,Centipede and Patriarch. SFK MAKING NEW ALBUM IN THE U.S.

Something for Kate are currently in Los Angeles recording their new album with producer/engineer Brad Wood who is known for his work with Liz Phair, Pete Yorn, Tortoise and Red Red Meat amongst many others.
The band have now been in LA for over 2 months working on the album-To keep up to date with the bands day to day life in the studio click on the ‘Studio Diary’ here on the website with ramblings and photos from the band throughout the entire process. Paul Dempsey Interview on JJJ

Dempsey will be speaking to Robbie Buck on Triple J’s Home and Hosed program this Thurs night (Sept 8th) at 9.30pm before he hits the stage at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel about progress on the new record and what the band have been up to in recent months.
