Something For Kate come to Sydney this Thursday Feb 15th to play a live set for MTV’s The Lair. If you would like to be in the running to win one of 25 double passes to come along, just tell us which song you really want SFK to play and why.THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THANKYOU TO ALL THOSE WHO ENTERED. WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL AND/OR PHONE TODAY

Something For Kate will play a very special secret performance next Thursday, February 15 for MTV’s live show The Lair and we’re giving you the chance to come along.

Happening at a secret Sydney venue, we’ve got 25 double passes up for grabs, which you can score one of by emailing us at [email protected] or at [email protected] and telling us what song you really want to hear SFK play at The Lair and why. There are also a bunch of additional passes to be won by emailing the same information to [email protected] Make sure you include your full name in the email as well.

Get your entries to us by 6pm Tuesday, February 13, and stay by your computers on Wednesday, February 14 when all winning entrants will be notified by email with all the details of where and when

SFK will be playing a number of one-off and ALL AGES shows around the country starting in February. More information will follow soon but at a glance they are:

Sat 24th Feb – Adelaide Uni ‘O’ Ball (all ages and licensed)

Sat 10th Mar – Melbourne Pushover (all ages)

Sat 17th Mar – Dusty Days, Wagga Wagga (all ages)

Mon 9th April – Royal Easter Show, Sydney (all ages- Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

SFK on your TV and Radio : things to watch out for

Watch out for upcoming TV appearances as the band feature on JTV in mid Feb,on Video Hits in the coming weeks and then look out for Paul as he appears on SBS TV show, Rockwiz as a guest contestant on Saturday Feb 24th at 8.30pm. NEW LIMITED T-SHIRT DESIGN AND BAGS AND CAPS AND STUFF…

If you head to the ‘CONSUME’ section here on the website there is a brand new design limited to just a few, the red camera t-shirt along with a selection of other new t-shirt designs available, not to mention our first Something for Kate ‘Mao’ cap and tote bag! Very nice… Also, if you couldn?t make it to the recent Desert Lights Tour, the official tour merchandise including the tour poster and t-shirt is now available on the site.

OH KAMIKAZE SINGLE IN STORES NOW

28/08/2006

The 2nd single to be lifted from Desert Lights is ‘Oh, Kamikaze’ and has just been released in store Saturday, Sept 2nd. The B-sides for this single are 2 brand new tracks, “Airport Kid”, recorded in the sessions for Desert Lights with Brad Wood and an acoustic demo version of “The Amazing Machine That Does Not Work” which has only been played a handful of times live by Paul. Also featured on this single is the cover of The Cure’s “Close to Me” which was previously only available on i-tunes as an exclusive track. You can request the video for Oh Kamikaze now.
