2014 marks 20 years since the very first Something for Kate show & to celebrate this incredible milestone, the band will be embarking on a national tour playing 2 extensive sets each night, releasing all 6 albums on vinyl & deluxe CD editions, screening a short film at each show & releasing the limited edition book, ‘Paper Trail: 20 Years of Something for Kate’.

We’re very pleased to present Episode Two of ‘A Discussion with Paul Dempsey’, a short film shot on Paul’s recent ‘Shotgun Karaoke’ Tour. The film includes interview [&] concert footage from the final show of the tour at Melbourne’s Hi-Fi Bar;

We are very excited to announce that Paul Dempsey will return to Tanks Arts Centre, Cairns in solo mode for one night only!  On May 23rd Paul will be performing a selection of his solo songs as well as Something For Kate songs & also some of his favorite covers from his recent ‘Shotgun Karaoke’ album. Information and tickets are available now from HERE  but be quick!  This is an all ages show.

We’re most excited to announce Episode One of A Discussion with Paul Dempsey, a short film shot on Paul’s recent ‘Shotgun Karaoke’ Tour. Featuring live concert footage, the film, shot by Callum Preston | Art and Design, surreptitiously follows Paul around airports, at soundcheck & in his studio along with a candid discussion about the range of covers Paul’s done from his teenage years to now amongst much else.

In 1996 Something For Kate released The Answer to Both Your Questions, the bands first EP on double 7″ vinyl with a limited edition of 500 copies all with hand crafted artwork by the band. All sold out instantly. Here we aim to reunite all 500 covers in photo form by asking the people who own them to submit photos. If you are submitting a photo of your 7″, please remove plastic sleeve & take photo or scan of front & back covers letting us know which number out of 500 yours is and email to [email protected]  Check back HERE  to see how the project is progressing!
